Nelson Burdick & his wife Mary of Ashaway RI spent a couple nights with us this past weekend in one of our pet friendly rooms and enjoyed their stay so much, gave us this small piece of Nelson’s artwork to say thank you. It was made from drift wood he found and handpainted. Nelson told us this was the last peice in this series he had and wanted us to have it. It now sits at the desk for all guests to enjoy.

Today George & Sheena Reid, from Scotland, had to continue on their Vermont and New England journey. They spent three days with us and packed their days full of sites, country side, foliage and wonderful food. It was our pleasure to give them a warn comfortable bed to sleep on and pointers on what to see. They wanted to stay with us one more day, but we were completely booked.

Before they left, George shared with us a CD of his original songs, called Songs of New England. They were inspired by his trips to New England in the 80s. He also let us know that some of the songs were on YouTube. He also apolgized for the recording quality (and also did so on the CD sleeve), but we still loved them. He has find of a folksy song writer style.

You can find them on his YouTube channel:
