“Charming, tidy, and well-organized!”

5 of 5 stars: Two of us stayed at Sleep Woodstock as an overnight between jobs and the motel suited us perfectly. The room was clean and nicely outfitted with a fridge, freezer and microwave. The decor harkens back to old style motor inns before they all became large chains. There were many little pieces of art on the wall, which gave the room a lovely homey feel. The service was top notch. The proprietors were friendly, accommodating and responsive. The office seemed to be staffed all day and into the evening. It was small but there was even a nice assortment of snacks and sundries. Critical for us, some of the rooms are pet friendly. (Check with motel for terms and conditions about pets.)

“Very satisfied with our stay at the Sleep Woodstock Motel”

5 of 5 stars: June 2022. I was in Woodstock, VT for a family get together. I was looking for a place that was nice, reasonably priced, quiet and that would allow me to bring my dog. Sleep Woodstock has rooms specifically set aside for those bringing a dog and also dog free rooms (nice if you have allergies). It fit the bill.

The rooms were lovely, very clean and attractive with great art. The bathroom was pristine. The kitchen had a coffee maker (and plenty of coffee & creamers), a small fridge & microwave.

There’s a great diner next door that opens early. Great breakfasts. Great pie and an ice cream window. (There were also healthier options at the diner as well.)

It was easy to reach the staff anytime, which was usually the owners. I’ll be sure to return.

“The rooms were immaculate”

5 of 5 stars: We had a great weekend getaway here and we were able to bring our dog. Leslie and Patrick obviously put a lot of thought into setting up the rooms. We had everything we needed. They were friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate. So nice especially during these times to have cleanliness. It was quiet. The restaurant next door had a fabulous breakfast menu. Yummy. The waitress was great and had lots of personality. I would definitely go back if we were in the area.

“Total gem! Renovated, quiet, stylish, relaxing!”

5 of 5 stars: What a gem! And owner could not be nicer! All rooms totally renovated with handsome modern flooring and headboard, great, sparking clean and stylish bathroom (love that cool sink and awesome countertop), comfy new beds, microwave and mini fridge, pull out desk. Just outside of Woodstock village itself, directly across road from Ottauquechee River. At night, the only sound is the quiet rushing river – talk about relaxing! What I love about these roadside motels especially these days is that you have a floor-through unit with openable windows in front and back for a lovely breeze (and given Covid, airing out a place is important).

The mote’s office is full of such cool stuff from the motel’s history including original signs, the actual front grille to a 1958 (I think) car embedded in the front desk (!), original postcards from the motel’s past, and lots of original artwork. Owner was fantastic – super friendly, and recommended the perfect place to us – Max’s Tavern in Barnard. We highly recommend the place!

“Astonished by the cleanliness and upkeep of the room and grounds”

5 of 5 stars: The owner Patrick of Sleep Woodstock motel was incredibly friendly and helpful! My wife and I were both astonished by the cleanliness and upkeep of the room and grounds. Price was very fair, we decided to spend a second night on our trip back home. Wonderful experience! Will definitely be returning to Sleep Woodstock motel in the future whenever we are in the area again. As a plus, the motel gives you great discounts to local restaurants in the area. No complaints whatsoever.

“New encounter with a classic motel style”

5 of 5 stars: This retrofit of a classic drive-in motel will pleasantly surprise you. A tasteful re-do of this property includes a spacious and comfy bed, immaculate bath, wide-screen wall-mounted TV, and a convenient vanity with microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, and refrigerator. All the essentials, well-presented. I’d recommend to anyone traveling to Woodstock or environs. Staff very gracious as well.

“Great fresh cute design and super helpful host”

5 of 5 stars: Excellent for our blizzard ski trip: Great heat, hot water, coat rack, clean room, clean bathroom, clean bedding, great reading lights, night stands, great microwave, fridge, seating. Great fresh cute design and super helpful host who saved us from a March blizzard out on the road. Great hearty breakfast next door. Room was compact and efficient and a great bargain. And I don’t review often.

“A Woodstock Stay”

5 of 5 stars: Recently had a photography workshop in Woodstock with LorenPhotos and was recommended Sleep Woodstock. Best decision I made. The location is just outside the center of town with a clear open view to a meadow and mountains. The room was spectacular. Recently renovated, it was clean with a small but full refrigerator, microwave AND hard wood flooring. Carpeting grosses me out at all hotels. For those traveling with your furry friends they have some pet friendly rooms too. There was a nice place right next door serving breakfast and lunch so it was very convenient. Had a wonderful stay and will look them up next time I plan another visit.

“The design has flair”

5 of 5 stars: A colleague and I stayed for two nights in early December, and I would absolutely stay again. A third colleague had set up the booking, with the dates one night later than we arrived; we called, and Patrick was flexible and helpful in changing the reservation at the last minute. The rooms are small but with just enough space and all the features I wanted for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The design has flair, and our two rooms had lots of interesting small framed art. A great place for the price!

“Sleep Woodstock is a secret gem! Highly recommend!”

5 of 5 stars: Sleep Woodstock is as lovely as it is affordable. Extremely clean, nice bathtub, comfortable bed, nice crisp white linens, simple, yet thoughtfully stylish decorations, cute fixtures, coffee machine, great food recommendations, including an exceptionally good breakfast spot literally next door. it’s clear a lot of care and attention to detail goes into each room as well as ensuring a comfortable, high quality, and restful experience for all guests. I highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thank you!
