Let me win, but, if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.  —Athlete’s Oath

This year’s annual three-day competition, truly a highlight among SOVT competitions, takes place at Suicide Six in Pomfret with ceremonies in historic Woodstock. Hundreds of members from the local community will join together to make the experience a life long memoery for all competing and involved.

The competition kicks off on Friday, March 7th, at 9:00 am with the School Unified Sports snowshoeing competition and wraps up at 4:00PM.

The official Opening Ceremonies kick off on Friday night, 7:30 pm, at the Woodstock Town Hall. Each competing delegation is announced and we’ll hear a few words from some very special guests.

Then on Saturday & Sunday, March 8th & 9th, our athletes compete in four winter sports: Snowboarding. Snowshoeing, Alpine Skiing, and Cross-Country Skiing.

We Support these Special Heroes

Here at Sleep Woodstock Motel we’re happy and honored to help support these special athletes by offering all participating athletes and their families a Special Olympics Vermont’s Winter Games discount of over 10% OFF our normal weekend rates. That means you can book a “King” room for $83/nite or a “Two Double Beds” room for $88/nite based on double occupancy. Simple call us and tell us you’re a participating athlete or family member.
