Covered Bridges Half Marathon

Covered Bridges Half Marathon is a Community based road race which runs the first Sunday in June. The Best 13.1 miles in New England. Experience some of Vermont's Covered Bridges and support local charities.

This year, it's being held Sunday June 7, 2015 at 8:15am.

There will be a Pasta Dinner the evening before, as well where local chefs prepare fresh pasta with different sauces, fresh salad, breads and desserts. Cash bar and live music. Admission: $18 adult, $10 child.

Open Dance Floor Nights at Artistree

ArtisTree hosts a casual, fun evening for getting your body moving and grooving with a DJ, wide open floors, high rafted ceilings and plenty of liquids and snacks to keep you going! Open to all ages, ranges of mobility and dancing styles!! BYOB.

Billings Farm & Museum's 6th Annual Cheese & Dairy Celebration

Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont's rural heritage, announces the 6th Annual Cheese & Dairy Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Celebrate Vermont's rich dairy heritage during this two-day event: Meet New England cheesemakers, sample their delicious artisan cheeses & dairy products, and take part in engaging dairy education programs.

The Cheese & Dairy Celebration will showcase many of New England's artisan cheesemakers, who will offer cheese samples, discuss their products, and have cheese on hand for purchase. Visitors can Judge Jerseys with the farm manager to improve their bovine knowledge, participate in a dairy scavenger hunt, “name the calf” contest, Inside-Out Cow (have fun learning the body parts of a cow) and Cow Make-Over (learn what it takes to groom a cow in preparation for being judged in a show). Especially for the children: cranking fresh ice cream and making dairy headbands and moo masks.

The operating dairy farm, farm life exhibits, and the restored and furnished farmhouse are included in the entrance fee. Admission: adults: $14.00; over 62: $13.00; children 5-15: $8.00; 3-4: $4.00; under 3: free.
